Gallagher's Equestrian Centre is located at Finn Farm, which dates back to the early 1900’s and has stayed in the Gallagher family uninterrupted for more than a century. Finn Farm is nestled on the gentle valley slopes bordering the river Finn in southern Donegal. The Family has historically farmed cattle, potatoes, flax, barley and corn. Horses have always been part of the landscape and an essential part of ‘working’ a Farm. In more recent times the Gallaghers have developed a passion for all things equestrian and subsequently converted this passion into an equestrian centre for you to visit.

The Farm’s boundaries extend almost 70 acres and are a mixture of woodland, fields and paddocks. Amongst the fields you’ll find an array of local flora and probably recognize plants you might usually associate with those found in garden centres. The hedgerows are abundant with trees, shrubs and flowers at various times throughout the year so you can easily find orchids, irises, fuchsia, honeysuckle, primroses, harebells as well as holly, sweet chestnuts, blackthorn and oak. Depending on what time you rise in the mornings you might see local hares and rabbits, badgers, foxes, and the occasional pine marten or otter, and of course the local crows, robins and many types of songbirds make daily appearances.
